About Us
"Go into the world to love and serve the Lord!"
St. David’s is a dynamic and friendly congregation including senior adults, families, single individuals, and our youngsters ranging from 14-18 years. We are committed to follow our Savior’s command to love God and neighbor.
Our faith, grounded in the Scriptures and in the witness and teaching of Christians of every generation was never meant to be a museum artifact. Faith in a living God is a living faith. It means growing in understanding, in awareness, and in the application to the challenges and opportunities of daily living. Our faith is lived out in the time and place where Jesus called us to love God with all our heart and mind, and to love our neighbor as ourselves.
At a time of divisiveness and and uncertainty, we hold that truth is key in the developing of our human and spiritual lives, and to foster our relationship with God and neighbor. Truth is not wishful thinking or what someone likes to believe it is "the" truth. While we believe that there is a wide margin for deliberation and opinion, and also for upholding diverse interpretations, we hold that Jesus is the Truth. A Truth that He promised will set us free. Perhaps a bit uncomfortable, but free indeed.
Ours is an “all-hands-on-deck” community. With different interests and abilities, yet united in purpose, we love to tackle together whatever the challenge, whatever the opportunity.
Our governing board (Vestry Committee) is small, open, and accessible. For sure, one of the things that a visitor may not find is “red tape.” And we don’t miss it at all!
Come and give us a try!
