Hope encourages us to believe that out of what it may be considered the end of times, life and love will still flourish.

“Be strong, and do not fear, for your God, our God is already present working out the miracle of life in yearning-for-God hearts.”

God’s business, our business, the church’s business is to proclaim that God’s grace, love, and forgiving mercy.

Whether you believe it or not, God cares about you.  And his provision will never falter. 

The Eucharist is, indeed, a celebration of hopefulness.

Jesus is praying for us.  For you.  For me.  Even for those who couldn’t care less that Jesus is praying for them.

The relationship into which Jesus invites us to partake it is not based on a scorecard, but on God’s deep and eternal bond of love.

Christians are to be known by their love, not by the carefully worded statements of faith nor by how many people seat on their sanctuaries.

“Think how much our Father loves you, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are!”

The Resurrection is a celebration of love over sin, of life over death, of hope over despair, and of mercy and grace over guilt and shame.

Jesus invites us to take him.  Not to admire him or to touch him.  Not to study him or debate his actions.  But to take him.  To take him.

Bringing hope into our lives is learning to see the broken kernel not as a sign of defeat but of new life.

Like the Samaritan, can we be the right person at the right time?

Evangelism is not to invite others to make them like us, but it is to invite others to join us in becoming all that God intends for us. 

The road to healing and redemption starts at the point where we shut down everything else and we begin to listen to the voice of Jesus.

The Spirit of God is not only with us but in us to impart us wisdom, love, and the power not just to pass, but to do well indeed.

Baptism is not about what we do, but about what God does out of his own goodness and kindness of heart.

Here is the thing – our relationship with God and one another doesn’t depend on us but it is by God’s supreme choosing. 

While the world pushes us to super-size everything, God is not afraid of going small and fragile -- like a Baby.

As long as you are willing to let God to have a shot, things will work out for the good.
