Raging seas
"When the storms of life are raging..."

“And rising up, he rebuked the wind, and said to the sea: Peace, be still. And the wind ceased: and there was made a great calm.” (Mark 4:39)

God did not place us in this world to calm down all and every storm of life.

But to point out to Jesus who’s the only One who can bring peace in the middle of the storms.

Yes. Sometimes God may allow us to call for the Wind of the Spirit to chase away the dark stormy clouds and quiet the bravest seas.

But now and again, we are called to ride out the storm along with others.

And to point them to a safe harbor beyond the billowing seas.

Captains of souls, surely, we are not. For there is just the only One who'll carry the day.

Watch out!

For the temptation to quickly take command may lead us into the abyss, away from calm seas.

Peace! Be still! Is not only a call to raging storms and tempests but to those souls who would rather trust the power to command than the power to believe.
